About the Person

Geoff comes to his worldview through a career as a research scientist now exceeding three decades, through a lifetime of curiosity and skeptical enquiry and through personal crises and transitions. He is the father of three talented and creative children and the husband of the warm, intelligent and lively Deborah Reid.

His personal development has been advanced by the gentle, powerful workshops of the Human Awareness Institute, founded by Stan Dale.

Geoff was born into a farming family in 1944 in the Riverina district of New South Wales, Australia, grew up there and in the southwest corner of Victoria, attended Monash University in Melbourne and did his Ph.D. in California. He lived for fifteen years in the United States of America, where his eldest daughter lives. He has lived for over twenty years in a small, pleasant, culturally rich but little-known city in Australia, where his two younger children have grown up. He enjoys bushwalking and camping and loves almost any contact with nature.
